How much of a threat are PC viruses?
It all depends on how you use your computer? If you use it to send and receive emails, read the BBC webite and buy the occasional item from Amazon, your chance of picking up a virus is pretty low.
If you have a basic level of security software (such as windows firewall and a simple anti-virus program) you have reduced your chances even further.
Most viruses come through emails and via online chat rooms, so if you only receive a few emails a day and don't use MSN or other messenging services, you have reduced your chance of picking a virus even more.
